Hey Y'all!
I'm new to this forum and just wanted to say that I am a Glock convert. I had an XD45. Decent weapon but the slide just seemed too tall and too much crap on it to snag. Then I went to a M&P .40. Again, decent gun...but have a soft spot in my heart for the thunderous 230grains of 45acp. So I traded "up" in my opinion to a lightly used Glock 3rd. Generation G21. This pistol came with the factory barrel, Lone Wolf Distributors match grade barrel. 4 Glock magazines, the original case and a "cheapy" Fobus kydex paddle holster for just around $650. Oh, and it has the Tritium night sights. I LOVE this gun! And I am a guy with good sized hands and I think..(contrary to what some people think) it fills my hand and feels terrific! Not that hard I found to conceal either. I think easier and lighter than the XD45 I had.
I have been trying to search for a nice tactical rail light to install. Prefer LED as opposed to Xenon. Wise choice? What models would you all recommend?
Also I want to look into a Laser too. Would you go with a Light/Laser combo? Or would you go with an individual unit like Crimson Trace or LaserMax?
Your opinions and expertise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy to be on board.

Welcome! My Glocks felt 'right' when I first held them, also.
Sorry, I can't help with the lights and lasers. |

Welcome aboard! I've carried my Glock 21 for over 15 years and love it. Mine is a first generation with no light rail or finger grooves. I recently had it overhauled by my Glock armorer and I suspect there is another 15 years of life left in her!
As for lights and lasers, be sure to get a Glock light if you want to avoid problems. A couple of my deputies had serious problems on the range with after-market lights. I didn't believe it was the lights until someone showed me a slow-mo video of a Glock while firing. The after-market lights prevented the proper frame flex and caused jams repeatedly. Both deputies changed to Glock lights and the problem ceased.
I'm not a laser fan, so someone else will have to jump in on that one. Enjoy your G-21! |

| I put a lasermax in my 36, and so far hasn't failed me yet. Been in for over a year. |
